The first trooper for my Empire army. Some changes are going to take place. Im not happy with the base necessarily, and the halberdiers will not end up with shields, but the color scheme is fleshed out here and Im looking forward to mass production, as soon as I make some basing decisions.

An army of these would look awesome. Nicely done sir. Also, I agree - change up the basing.
Solid, I like seeing yellow on figs! It doesn't often work it's way into the wargamer's pallet.
Any basing ideas, domus? I know I want white flowers on there somehow (edelweiss).
Tommy - Did a quick Wiki search on edelweiss and got this...
"The plant is unequally distributed and prefers rocky limestone places at about 1800–3000 m altitude."
So that offers you the ability to bring in rocky basing, add some grass and the flowers. I think the biggest detractor for the basing on this model is the abundance of static grass. Maybe a light flock or even the minimum amount of static grass needed would be a better approach.
Rob did a neat article about static grass. See it here.

Hope that helps!
Paint is top notch! It's funny that the blog has grown to the point where we can continually point to old blog posts to solve "new" problems. Here is another post about highland grass bases with flowers:
