As some of you know, for some crazy reason I decided to go back to school for a Graphic Design degree while working full time. So this May I finish up, whew. I will keep updates, etc. as best I can... I usually sneak in an hour of hobby time here and there so I can stay on schedule for Adepticon.
So, part II... Here are the Christian Spanish Guard [using Musketeer Armored Arab infantry as explained in Part I] spearmen, about 75% done... They have been dipped [well brushed, I do not like the whole pliers/slinging experience, ended up tossing a spearmen across my basement...no really, that happened] and matt sprayed. I painted most of their hair/beards grey to show their veteran status. Next is highlighting/cleaning up, Shield Decals from LBM, painting the flags and bases... about 2-3 hours +/-.
I made all the banners out of green stuff, pretty much follow PPC's guide. I do hang the flags to cure at an angle to look like they are in the wind and I did all the infantry banners at once they all have the same look and direction, helps unify the army... I tried Little Big Men Flags, which are gorgeous, but I just can't seem to get them to work right, sigh...
Here is the whole unit. All figures are Musketeer except for the Emir who is from BTD. Musketeer doesn't make an on foot arabic general figure.

| Finished Berber Unit #1. I have no idea what the banner says [eat at joe's perhaps], just half copied something from the LBM shield transfers... There are three units more for a total of 4 core Infantry blocks... The trays are set up to take another rank in case I want to field an additional rank of archers or spearmen. I also added arrows to the archers who are in a "nocked" pose. I also bent their bows on the ones with arrows nocked... |

| Christian Spanish Knights very WIP... They will get a GS banner like the rest, but a different shape of course. Crusader Minis, but Musketeer horses. I have a keen dislike for crusader horses, but I like the riders... |

Is there a hidden section on the BTD website with Arab characters? Or was the figure part of a unit deal?
I completely missed this post until I looked at the Dashboard this morning. Looking very good. I like the speared dude also.
Great flow on the banners. LBM's flags are almost too good and can see that they may be very hard to manipulate. Those knights actually look like pretty decent models.
