I was asked to contribute a painted miniature for a charity auction at Adepticon 2006. All contributing artists were to paint the same miniature, that being one of the free minis you get with you paid admission to the event. Frankly, I am not the best painter so I was surprised to be asked [however, I have, IMHO, greatly improved since this, hopefully that will show in future posts of more recent work...]. The Model was a lovely IG themed female officer, although a very small and detailed figure. I typically do not paint something so fiddly, so this was a challenge for me. And someone did indeed buy it, so a win for everybody.

That is one of Jen Haley's sculpts if I remember correctly. I remember looking at it and saying no way am I interested in painting it.
You're far too modest - that turned out really, really well! The face turned out fantastic, especially given how tiny it obviously is. Keep up the great work!
@ PsychosisPC: I couldn't remember if it was Borer's or Haley's, regardless it is a nice dynamic, tiny model. There is a reason I like the 28mm sized ancients over true 25mm. [bad eyes...]
@ Mordian7th: Thanks! I still wish the finish was smoother, etc. I was really pleased with the face also. Since then I have started using medium and and glazes a lot more so things aren't so cartoonish.
